Transparency

The DLMS website is a service of DLMS User Association. The data required for the use of the DLMS website is kept strictly confidential. The processing of your personal data takes place usually only after your consent. An exception applies in those cases where prior consent cannot be obtained for factual reasons and processing of the data is permitted by law. We also protect our users’ interests and privacy. We do not sell or distribute personal data to third parties. We endeavour to protect our databases with all reasonable means against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification.

Usage data

You can access our website without supplying any personal information. When you visit, our web servers register impersonal usage data. The log files provide information about your IP address, the web page you last visited, which browser you are using, date, time and the requested file. We analyse this anonymous data in-house in order to identify trends, compile statistics and improve our online services. At the same time, we take strict care to ensure that usage data is not linked to personal information.

Cookies

Access to areas requiring registration and the use of some services requires your browser to accept cookies. Cookies enable user recognition, which means that you needn’t log in multiple times.

In addition, dlms.com uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics also uses cookies to help analyse how you use the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses this information to evaluate website usage, compile reports on website activity and further services in connection with website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not combine your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set forth above.

You may block the installation of cookies by activating the corresponding setting on your browser, however, as mentioned above, blocking cookies might limit your usage of dlms.com. We recommend that you periodically delete collected cookies. The help function in your browser should tell you how.

As an alternative to the browser add-on, in particular for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link.

Social plugins

dlms.com may use social plugins such as Xing or Twitter. These plugins are correspondingly marked. If you access a dlms.com page which contains such a plugin, your browser will connect directly to the servers of this network. The contents of the plugin are transmitted directly to your browser and embedded by the browser in the web page. If you are logged in to the corresponding social network, your visit may be assigned to your account. The purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing and use of data by the social network and your relevant rights and ways to protect your user privacy can be found in the privacy policy of the respective network.

Personal data

Some services and offers require registration. We need your postal address when you order via our website. If you choose to give us personal information for a specific purpose, we assure you that we shall handle this data in compliance with the applicable data protection law. dlms.com undertakes to use personal data carefully and exclusively for the intended purpose. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. This is the case for the data collected during the registration process if the registration on our website is cancelled or changed. The data which is needed to fulfil a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures will be deleted when the data is no longer required for the execution of the contract.
